It has been awhile.

Hello all!

First, I want to say Yay for our 50th post!! Hopefully it won't be too long until we hit the big one o o. :-}

We have had one busy week and it isn't over yet, not by a long shot. Ike and I returned to NC on Saturday. The drive took all day, so we rested up in Cary for two nights and prepared for the big move. On Monday we drove down to pick up our keys to the new house and moved in all of Ike's stuff. On Tuesday we moved in my stuff. We have literally been unpacking ever since. It has been very tiring. This afternoon I felt like a unpacking zombie, but I am still excited because we will soon start decorating and I have a few ideas up my sleeve.

This is the first night I've been able to really relax because most of the unpacking is finally done. My plan is to catch up on all my blog RSS feeds over the next few days. I use Brief, a Mozilla add on and right now there are 233 unread posts...oh goodness, this is what happens when you don't check anything for almost a week. Normal blog reading and posts will hopefully resume by Monday. I am crossing my fingers that everything will be done and set up by then.

10 Things Tuesday

It's time for 10 Things Tuesday where I list happenings, thoughts, and feelings from the past few days. Sorry it's a little late; I've been packing, moving, and running around town all day.

1. Tasting: Queso dip and tortilla chips--delicious appetizer after a very active and sweaty morning of moving.
2. Feeling: Really excited, everything is coming together quite nicely for this summer--multiple trips to the beach (check), road trip to New York (happening soon), spending time with good friends (Julie and Babs I love you, and I can't wait to see you), spending time with a great family (The Smiths), and playing with awesome dogs (Riley, Eliot and of course Charlie). Sorry I overkilled on the parentheses.
3. Seeing: Finishing The Botticelli Secret by Marina Fiorato A good long read.
4. Hearing: Griffee's and Lea's shouts and laughter helping us move today. They are good friends and really strong!
5. Smelling: Sweat. Yes it's gross but the heat index down here has been over 100 lately, but hey that's the South.
6. Finding: A dark and grisly graphic novel series: Nightmares and Fairy Tales by Serena Valentino & FSc at the library.
   
7. Habits: I am ready to start up an old habit of swimming laps in the pool again. There is a free pool in Owego, NY that I hope to find myself in almost every day. My fingers are crossed; I need to exercise more.
8. Disappointment: No disappointments this week; I am thoroughly happy.
9. Hurt: My Macbook case is having a hard time staying together. Quick trip to the Apple Store on Wednesday will hopefully have it feeling better.
10. Yummy: Raspberry Lemon Bars. A great recipe from Ike's Mom.
