This year has been a whirlwind of emotions and changes for the both of us and evicvictors has not really survived the trip. No worries on our relationship. Everything is still going well there (yay!). I, on the other hand, came to the conclusion that while my job (teaching high school kiddies) was challenging and rewarding, it was not enough for me. While I am still very passionate about education, I want to be an educator and public servant in a different setting.
So, I’m packing my bags and going back to school as a Master’s degree candidate in Library and Information Science. I want to teach and serve all types of people. I think teaching and showing people how to navigate and use the information we have access to is so important. I can go on and on about information literacy and librarianship, but for now I will leave you with my eagerness to begin this new part of my life and my excitement for what is to come. With new beginnings come new spaces. I am leaving evicvictors, for now, to start up my own place in the blogosphere, lil lark. Hope to see you there.

Howdy
Well, it has been a while. Many new and exciting things have been happening, but I am not allowed to speak of these things online until the early summer. Not being able to share any of that news has made me hesitant to write anything. I feel like I can't really write about what I want and my true feelings about things. Even so, I have been thinking about writing a lot lately. I have new ideas for where I want to take my future online blogging, and you will see me back soon enough.
Although we haven't posted, we have been doing fun things. Once spring comes, living near the coast begins to show us its full advantages: sunny walks, ice cream downtown, windy afternoons hearing seagulls, anticipations for the beach, passing cars with boats and kayaks. It all makes me so happy.
Another thing that makes us smile is our new game with Charlie. It's absolutely ridiculous. Here's a video (please excuse the messy bedroom :-{ )

Double Fortunes
Ike and I went to dinner the other night and I found a double fortune in my cookie!
"You will be unusually successful in business." Uhm...not really a business person, but maybe I can start selling something on Etsy and become a handmade millionaire. :-)
"You should be able to undertake and accomplish anything." Now this one sounds more true to me. My dad has always told me that "The Davis family doesn't quit". If I decide on something, I stick to it. Even if I hate it I get it done (git-r-done hehe). Like the time I joined the swim team freshman year of high school without swimming a single lap in my life. I thought I was going to pass out the first day of practice and hell week had me singing to the porcelain gods, but I did it and I ended up becoming captain of the swim team. But, I digress. I felt lucky that night so I searched for the meaning of this double fortune in my cookie.
What did it mean? Top search answer: It means the machine messed up. *grrr* :-)
