Happy Independence Day!

Hello all!

We made it to New York on Friday after about 14 hours on the road. This was my first time driving up, and I never want to do it ever again. This was me at the beginning of the trip.
This is such a bad picture and I have no idea why my eye is closed, but imagine this after 14 hours (not so pretty).

I cringe just thinking about driving back in a month. It was a lot harder and tiring than I thought it would be, but we are here now and the delights have begun.

After a restful Friday night, on Saturday morning we went to the farmer's market in Vestal to pick up some veggies and other goodies for the 4th of July cookout.
I love cherries
I bought an Alpaca Felted soap!

Watched Ike mow the lawn.

Relaxed in the pool a bit with lovely dogs.

Ate at a great restaurant where Ike's brother cooks, and then, of course, ended the night with Soft Serve!!

This afternoon we are having a party with Ike's family and friends. Tomorrow we are off to the 4th of July parade in Candor. I'm excited to see this because each neighborhood gets together and creates a themed float. Then we are off to Cayuga Lake for a picnic and possible Kayaking. I hope you all are having a great holiday. Does anyone else have any fun plans?
