In one of her earlier posts, Jewel mentioned that we had put in an application for a house we found. Jewel was getting nervous because we hadn't heard anything yet. Today, while I was filling out paperwork for my storage unit, we got a phone call from the rental office, and...

We have a new place!

It's actually only about 2 minutes away from my current place, in the same neighborhood. It's a single family home with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths, a (somewhat tight) kitchen with new appliances, a large family room, and a large fenced-in backyard perfect for Charlie. (We do have to work on getting him out of his digging habit, though. A project for our month in New York, I guess.)

There's also a tiny little room off of the entryway -- too big to be a closet, too small to be anything else -- that Jewel has declared to be our "exercise/blogging room." We're going to put a chair and a yoga mat in there, and that ought to about fill it up.

We won't be moved in until we get back from New York in August, but we'll post plenty of pictures once we do. We're both excited that we have a place to share with each other -- and with Charlie.
