I normally don't wear brooches, but this one is perfect for pointing out to my students that we must all hold ourselves and what we do to the highest expectations. Plus its a little quirky and the bird's big surprised eye is funny to me.
This bracelet is made from Tagua nuts in Columbia . These nuts are popular because they are similar to ivory in texture, but unlike ivory, acessories made from Tagua nuts do not harm animals.
Reminds me of candy sprees.

This necklace is made from all the leftover fabric scraps from apparel factories. Normally the scraps would just be thrown away.
Here's the story:
Made in the USA by Green 3. For the construction of these necklaces, Green 3 partnered with Aspiro, a non-profit in Green Bay, Wisconsin that specializes in teaching job skills to cognitively disabled adults. The necklaces are cut and sewn by adults in the program, giving them an opportunity for independent living.
Hope you like it.

P.S. Can't get too excited just yet, but we have applied for a house we found this morning. My fingers are crossed that everything will work out.
