Many Happy Things

Hey

It's been awhile. Even though we haven't been posting that much lately, we have been having some fun. Here's a peek into the past two weeks. This post is a little picture heavy so get ready.

Last weekend New Bern continued celebrated its Tercentennial (300 years) Anniversary with a parade! We went with a couple of friends and had a great time.

There were lots of people out and so many cute little kids, especially this one.
The Marine Aircraft Wing Band gave me goosebumps. They're such a small band, but they are amazingly good.
A few others...

It was nice celebrating with our community.
Even the schools' bio bus made an appearance!
Ike and I took a trip to our Farmer's Market. It's smaller than most, but still quaint and endearing.

I received lovely flowers from a lovely mister.
I also had amazing cupcakes courtesy of a coworker's wife at work. The stem was a tootsie roll, and the leaf was mint gum. It was so cute I didn't want to eat it, but then I found out it was apple and cinnamon and I gobbled it down fairly quickly :-).

Ike and I ended this weekend by driving up to Raleigh to celebrate with good friends.
bet you can guess which drink is Ike's

We oohed and ahhed over the Breathalyzer in the bar but didn't partake (we took cabs).

I ended the night tired, but with a smile.

Next weekend we are off to Cary :-)

Bye for now.
