More NYC pictures.

Right now, Jewel and I are hanging out with my mother. She's housesitting for her boss at Quaker Lake, and it's pretty much the definition of "sweet gig." I've tried my hand at driving both a pontoon boat and small power boat, as well as paddling a tandem kayak around with Mom. I'll try to take/post some pictures soon.

For now, though, I've got a couple more collages of pictures from our NYC trip. This first one is made up of pictures I took while walking on the High Line (which, by the way, is a fantastic little secret greenspace of New York -- one that I hope continues to receive funding and grow).

...And here's one of various spots around Chelsea Market, where we had a great breakfast at the Ronnybrook Milk Bar. It's an old meatpacking-district warehouse that's been converted into an indoor market space. The architectural elements are great; look for the traffic lights repurposed as elevator lights.

Just for fun, here are a couple kids' drawings that were hanging on the wall at the dairy bar:

We went to a small bar in Choconut, PA tonight for steamed clams. Pictures of that outing and other lakeside adventures as they become available.

Until then --
