Today's agenda was as follows:
- All-day rehearsal with the Drama Club for All in the Timing, which opens tomorrow night. Bought pizzas for the kids and ate in the auditorium, which I later found out was a class-A no-no. Whoops.
- Read the substitute's notes and planned for tomorrow. Also helped some wayward students get a bag out of a locked classroom, only to discover the teacher was still in the building. Whoops again, I guess.
- Ran to Harris Teeter to buy three white tablecloths. Last minute prop run. I hope I haven't forgotten anything else; if I have, tomorrow's patrons will get an idea of how good the cast is at pantomime. (Preemptive whoops #3.)
- Came home and caught up on Glee. My students had hyped up the most recent episode; I'm not sure it lived up, but it was pretty intense. I'm proud of both Finn and Mike O'Malley (whose character's name is apparently not important).
- Did some mediocre preparation for the first year teachers' segment of the end-of-year pep rally tomorrow (read: trolled around on YouTube). It's going to be awful and ridiculous, and hopefully the students will love it for that reason. Mr. Smith rapping is always hilarious, according to my cast. Also checked out B.o.B's single "Airplanes" (featuring the girl from Paramore). Jewel was listening to it yesterday and, though I was trying to work at the time and didn't really like it then for that reason, it's grown on me. Catchy, sort of intense, and a good pulse that reminds me of "Run This Town."
- And now I'm grading papers while watching Parks and Recreation. Related side note: NBC's Thursday night comedy lineup has been one of the highlights of this semester. Parks and Recreation is everything The Office once was, Community is regularly inspired, and 30 Rock has still got it.
So that's about it. I leave you with two links related to the play, versions of "This Too Shall Pass" by OK Go. This one is the opening music for the show, and this one is the curtain call. I picked them not only because they both rock (which they do), but also because they relate their message of faithful perseverance in an entertaining, non-didactic way -- just like the sketches in All in the Timing (and any good comedy, for that matter).
More to come as I continue developing the habit.

just so you know i'm here.....(will someone else comment, please?)....sounds like a good habit to me. break a leg tonight! can't wait to hear about the rap!
ike, i couldn't agree more about thursdays on nbc this season. of course for me it's more like friday afternoons on hulu... but either way, they've been rocking it. 30 Rock and parks and rec surpassed the office as my favorite, and community is just ridiculous(ly awesome). hope you are doing well! i miss y'all.
